Alternative to the hegemony of American IT giants for Durov
Yaroslav Bogdanov: Global Digital Alliance (GDA) will devalue the practice of lobbyism, popular in the United States and other countries.
Yaroslav Bogdanov offered to founder of Telegram Pavel Durov an alternative to the hegemony of American IT giants. Chairman of the Board of the Fund for Protection of Investors' Rights in Foreign States, Yaroslav Bogdanov advocates the organization of a digital alliance, the Global Digital Alliance (GDA), which should be formed on the principles of transparency, equality and independence from national governments.
Pavel Durov has previously accused Apple and Google of censorship and surveillance
"Today Apple and Google censor information and apps on our phones, while Visa and Mastercard limit the number of goods and services we can pay for," the businessman wrote in his Telegram channel.
Durov compared humanity's freedoms now to those of 20 years ago, when the internet was decentralized and the banking system "relatively unrestricted," and concluded that there is much less independence now.
"Every year we give more and more control and power over our lives to a handful of irresponsible corporate executives we did not elect," the Telegram founder stressed.
Yaroslav Bogdanov considers the creation of the Global Digital Alliance to be an effective response to the hegemony of IT giants from the U.S., which will make it possible to put into practice the tools to protect the interests of the digital industry.
"Global Digital Alliance (GDA) will devalue the practice of lobbyism, popular in the U.S. and other countries. The organization offers a fundamentally new approach, where the latest blockchain technology will be applied in a transparent, equitable manner and with strict respect for international law," said chairman of the International Digital Arbitrage.
He is convinced that the digitalization of humanity should be controlled by humanity alone, with the tools offered by the GDA.
